Dr. Herbert Oye, D.O., FACOS, RPVI

Dr. Herbert Oye is a pioneering force in global healthcare, renowned for his visionary leadership in advancing vascular and endovascular care across Africa and the United States. With over 38 years of clinical, surgical, and academic experience, he is the founder and CEO of OYE Global Medical Foundation and the driving force behind The Endovascular Clinic in Nigeria.

Dr. Oye is a U.S.-trained, board-certified Endovascular and Vascular Surgeon whose mission has always been to make life-saving, minimally invasive treatments available and accessible to underserved communities. Through his leadership, The Endovascular Clinic has introduced groundbreaking procedures to Nigeria — including the country’s first-ever thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR) — and has provided advanced stroke prevention and limb salvage interventions that have changed countless lives.

His foundation has played a critical role in both direct patient care and medical philanthropy, helping individuals like Mrs. Genere Anderson, a cancer survivor, and Gift Ebibo, whose leg was saved through timely vascular intervention. These are just a few examples of the impact Dr. Oye’s work has had on real lives.

In addition to surgery and patient care, Dr. Oye is deeply committed to medical education and research. Through global partnerships — including with the Edward B. Diethrich Vascular Surgical Society, the International Society of Endovascular Specialists (ISEVS), and the Uzima Foundation — he has helped train the next generation of healthcare professionals and championed research opportunities in endovascular surgery for higher institutions in Africa.

Whether through founding modern vascular programs, performing life-saving operations, or mentoring future surgeons, Dr. Oye continues to be a catalyst for change — bridging the gap between advanced medical science and communities in need.

OUR TRAINING AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS

We don’t just treat patients — we train the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through the OYESIS Training Program, international partnerships, and tele-education, we’re building capacity for long-term impact in Nigeria and beyond.
